Pray: Ask the Holy Spirit to enter into this time with you, helping you translate God's word and convicting your heart so that you may change your ways and be more like Him. Thank God for the gift of His word and ask Him to teach you what He has to say. Finally, asl God to help you deny your own interpretations and to truly listen to what He has to say. 


Read: Proverbs 7; Song of Solomon 5:1; Matthew 4:1-11


Ask:  What is the purpose of this proverb? In what areas of your life do you face temptation? 


Apply: How can you combat this temptation? The answer is with scripture! Find scripture that you can memorize and combat temptation and spiritual warfare with. Some great places to start are Psalm 23, Psalm 103, Psalm 27, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Matthew 5:3-11. A little more difficult scripture to memorize is the Romans Road: Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 8:1; 10:9-10; 10:13
