The Young Believer
Who We Are

Hello, my name is Olivia. I have a passion for reading my Bible and sharing the Word. My goal is to help my generation love the Lord and have a relationship with Him. I hope to bring a little light into this dark and broken world. In my free time I like to read, write music, play guitar and participate in theatre. My guilty pleasure is spending a little too much time on Netflix. I'm still learning more about God everyday and working towards being who He has created me to be. I am by no means perfect or know best. I have co-created this podcast and devotional for other teens to relate to each other. I encourage you to dive into your relationship with God and join us on this journey.

Hello, my name is Lydia. I’m obsessed with reading (particularly dystopian, fantasy, and romance novels), and even though I am not musically talented in any way I LOVE music (probably because I’m a theater nerd). I'm not a pastor nor a theologian, I’m simply a teen who is enthusiastic about getting closer to God and helping others do the same. Between school, sports, hobbies, and friends, I understand how difficult it is to maintain a disciplined faith and connection with the Lord. I'm not perfect, and I certainly don't have everything figured out, but I'm devoted to spending time in God's word. Whether you are new to Christianity or have been a Christian for many years, I want you to know that you are not alone on this road.

The Young Believer is a podcast for teens who are looking to expand their knowledge of the Bible, theology, and current current world events and how our faith plays a factor. The first 10 weeks of the podcast will dive deep into the book of Proverbs. After that ,we will start discussing things like faith and science, sexuality, providence, role of women, etc. We also plan to discuss our spiritual journey and how we stay dedicated to faith. You can also look forward to guest speakers who range from extremely well-versed in the Bible, to non-christians. Our hope is to encourage confidence in the faith of teenagers and help them build a firm foundation on Jesus Christ. We are by no means theologians, we are also teens who are learning just like everybody else, we only want to bring a new perspective and "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
