Pray: Ask God to incline your heart to His word and gather your thoughts so that you can be attentive to His teaching. Ask him to help you read scripture like a mirror and open your eyes to your evil acts that you may be blind to.
Read: Proverbs 6
Ask: What is the purpose of the proverb? How do you see yourself in this passage? How can you make a change in your life to avoid destruction? What or who in your life is like a bitter root?
Apply: Realize one destructive habit in your life and make a point to end this habit. Breaking a habit is hard work, but the longer you allow this habit to uproot your life, the harder it will be to break. Ask God to reveal these bad habits to you and ask Him to help your destroy it.
